'a home away from home' at far fillimore care home in hanbury, staffordshire

All our staff are trained to high standards at Far Fillimore. They are caring reliable team of carers and domiciliary staff guided by an experienced Care Manager and her Deputy.

Far Fillimore comprises of 20 single rooms, and 2 shared rooms-ideal for a couple. All our rooms are light and spacious creating a homely environment reflecting the original ambience of the building. Our bedrooms contain a divan bed, bed side table, wardrobe and chest of drawers. 

Our Chef ensures all the nutritious meals provided to our residents are freshly prepared on the premises with the ingredients and products sourced locally, meeting any dietary requirements. Our residents are given a choice of meals which can be served to them in their room or they can enjoy it in our dining room.  

The Environmental Health Agency has awarded Far Fillimore a ‘five-star’ food hygiene rating.

Helping our residents stay social and remaining active is important for the overall well-being of our residents. 

Our activities include Tai Chi & pony therapy to name a few. At Far Fillimore our residents have access to a varied programme of activities that includes singing, poetic therapy (reminiscence), hairdresser and events that enable them to maintain a level of social interaction and fitness by having planned outings, yearly summer fete, themed teas.

Far Fillimore is located on the outskirts of the village Hanbury, fronting on to Wood Lane. B5017, one of the minor roads leads through the centre of the village.

It is approximately six miles east of Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire and 13 miles southwest of Derby. Major roads, which link the village, are A515, A50 and A38.

There are no local shops within a walking distance, only a local pub. Papers & magazines can be delivered upon request from the next village charged directly to the residents.

The home is set back from the main road allowing for ample parking in the grounds (at the owner's risk).
